A wonderful large early basket or tray crafted by The Salt River (Arizona) Pima Native American Indians. The Pima are famous for their fine basketry made of native devils claw, willow and bear grasses.

15 inches across, 5 inches high. In good condition for its age with a very small nail hole in rim, a few minor surface losses and what appear to be several small dark stains, some fading on the underside.
