This Kayenta bowl, in the Wingate style, was created by the San Juan Drainage Pueblo lll. Pained black on red ground. Made circa 1125 - 1200 AD.

Excavated near the junction of the Colorado and Little Colorado rivers. It was assembled from the shards found at the site and represents an important cultural and architectural find. It measures 8" across and 3" high. It was obviously well used, and will present well in any representative collection of American Indian artifacts from the era.
